American Seramas
Having the same body type as the Traditional Serama, the American Serama refers to the colors recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA) or the American Bantam Association (ABA). This means American Seramas can be shown at most APA/ABA sanctioned events and 4H/Fair shows that adhere to ABA standards. As of 2019, the APA/ABA accepted colors include white, black, and exchequer. In January 2023, Blue, Splash, and Ginger Red were added to the accepted colors, thus categorizing them as "American."
